NK cells are our own hired assassins and they take no prisoners.  They are THE Natural Born Killers within us, prowling our bodies in search for targets, virally infected and tumorigenic cells. Having identified a nefarious cancer cell, NK Cells clamp down on it, releasing cytotoxic molecules, killing it.
